For seniors who have paid into Social Security their whole life, along with paying a slew of taxes, it’s nice to enjoy your full retirement benefits without handing a piece back to the government.

Some states require benefit recipients to pay these taxes, but others are repealing the requirement in an effort to keep more retirees in their states.
