Have you heard of the legislation called The Guaranteed 3% COLA for Seniors Act?

This is one of the most important bills in decades. If passed, it would ensure retired Americans receive no less than a 3% Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) each year.

For too long, seniors received disgracefully low COLAs. Some years there was no COLA. It’s unacceptable. After a lifetime of contributing to the Social Security system, the politicians in Washington must not shortchange seniors during retirement.

If this legislation was made retroactive to 2010, eligible retirees would receive about $10,970 from all those years of missing or low COLAs.
