The future of Social Security is a very divisive topic. The program itself is doomed, fine, or somewhere in between, depending on who you ask.

There are only two real ways to determine which outlook is accurate. One is to look at the data and policies. The other is to consider public opinion. When we do the latter, we will find that some people seem optimistic about their odds of getting benefits in retirement.

While other reports have suggested a sense of pessimism, the tide may be turning. We want to know — where do you stand on this issue? Do you believe your benefits will be cut if you’re getting them now? If you’re young, do you think Social Security will be there for you when you retire?
