A new bill could change the lives of American seniors if Congress takes action.

NORA is proud to support The COLA Act of 2021, a new piece of legislation that would guarantee a cost-of-living adjustment for Social Security beneficiaries every year. Earlier this year, Rep. Tim Walberg (MI-7) introduced this bill in response to the nonexistent COLAs that have hurt retirees over the years.

Cumulatively, seniors are owed $10,970 for years of canceled COLAs. At NORA, we’re calling on Congress to make senior citizens a priority. Our seniors have worked hard and deserve to retire in peace, but nonexistent COLAs have made that difficult.

Since its introduction, The COLA Act of 2021 has been referred to the House Ways and Means Committee for consideration. Greedy Washington politicians are stonewalling this bill. We’re working to get it passed.

We’re demanding that Congress takes action. Senior citizens will suffer if Congress cancels another COLA. Sign our petition today to show our lawmakers that retirees won’t stand for another canceled COLA. We’re asking Congress to not only pass this bill but to reimburse seniors for all that they’re owed.
