SSA to resume in-person appointments for claims?

While retirees know all about the importance of Social Security, you may also know that this program helps numerous people from different walks of life.

One example is disabled individuals. While the closure of some Social Security offices has been a problem for this group just as it has been for retirees, there may be changes coming soon.

It was recently announced that the Social Security Administration will resume some of its in-person claims appointments after going remote for nearly two years. These changes will begin in May.

While these claims will be for disabled individuals, the move back to in-person appointments does set a precedent that could see operations return to normal for all benefit recipients.
