While the closure of Social Security offices during the pandemic was done in the name of safety, this move has led to a lot of suffering for seniors and others.

Some would say the move could also be called more than damaging — it could be called downright dishonest!

Even though shutdowns were done for health reasons, the move left many Americans struggling to access their benefits and even experiencing some health issues in the process. This caused the damage, but the dishonest aspect comes in when you consider that this is a program people were required to pay into, with no guaranteed help to reap their hard-earned payouts.

Does the continued closure of these offices show that the Social Security Administration is experiencing serious problems? Though some offices have reopened, is it enough?
