When we broke the news of the record 5.9 percent Social Security COLA in 2022, we knew it was a cause for celebration! It was made possible by the passionate seniors and retirement advocates who signed our petition, and who reached out about the cause in other ways as well.

But with inflation continuing to send prices soaring upwards, some believe seniors could be in line for another record-breaking benefit increase. The Social Security COLA for next year could land at 8.9 percent, positioning seniors to be a little better shielded against rising prices.
