Social Security disability benefits are getting an update. Specifically, the Social Security Administration (SSA) says it will add nine new conditions that will be part of its compassionate allowances. In addition, two original designations will receive revisions.
The agency said: “The Compassionate Allowances program quickly identifies claims where the applicant’s medical condition or disease clearly meets Social Security’s statutory standard for disability.”
