Everyone enjoys retirement differently. As a result, we all have different spending habits.

While some people keep working, others take up new hobbies to fill their time. While some enjoy peace and quiet in solitude, others fill their days with family time.

But as far as spending goes, some say seniors follow a specific trend in retirement. They say that seniors spend less in all major areas after retirement compared to before, except for healthcare and charitable contributions.

Maybe you don’t commute as much or eat as much in your later years, so your gas and grocery bills go down. But what if you use gas for travel? Or buy new foods to try new recipes?
