While many people use their retirement as a time to travel or even move, there’s one little (or big) issue that’s stopping some from hitting the road.

Rising gas prices are a problem across the country, and this surprise fee could put retirees’ well-earned travel plans on hold. Even with the Social Security COLA of 2022, the added price at the pump could cancel out what many seniors thought would be a boost for their retirement plans.

Especially with COVID restrictions easing heading into spring after a two-year pandemic, this should’ve been a time for seniors who had worked hard and saved up all their lives to enjoy their reward – but for many, this won’t be the case until gas prices go down.
