About 65 million Americans receive Social Security benefits each month. Many who rely on their benefits for the majority of their income say that they want to see changes. Social Security reform could help many retired Americans and individuals with disabilities have financial peace of mind.

In a recent report from The Guardian, several Social Security beneficiaries spoke up about the difficulties they’ve experienced when trying to live off of their benefits. One way they’re calling for change? They want benefits that reflect the increasing cost of living, as well as an expansion of Social Security as a whole.

NORA is at the forefront of working to make Social Security reform happen. We’re calling on Congress to pass The Guaranteed 3% COLA for Seniors Act, a piece of legislation that would ensure beneficiaries receive at least a 3% increase in their benefits every year. For too long, COLAs have been too low, and seniors haven’t received all that they deserve. Help us make a change. Sign your name to our online petition today and make your voice heard.
