How will you be commemorating this Independence Day? Maybe you’re planning a barbecue with friends and family, or you’re going to watch fireworks in your town. At NORA, we’re spending the July 4th weekend as focused on our mission as ever.

We’re urging Congress to pass legislation that would guarantee a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) of at least 3% each year for Social Security beneficiaries. For too long, COLAs have been too low. They haven’t kept up with the rising costs of goods and services, and seniors have missed out on benefits they’ve earned. We’re fighting on behalf of American retirees to not only guarantee higher COLAs, but to make them retroactive to 2010.

This July 4th weekend, take some time to sign our online petition. Adding your name is the easiest way to show Congress that this is what seniors want.
