As the economy changes rapidly, so too do retirement plans for millions of Americans.

With inflation, supply chain congestion, and many other factors making the future look uncertain, it’s a time when people are rethinking what they’ll do once their time in the workforce ends.

Some are even considering extending that time. In fact, CNBC’s Lori Konish reports that more Americans are taking Social Security early while continuing to work. It’s a tough move, as this can mean a lower benefit for life. But continuing to work can function as a financial safety net for seniors who don’t want to be solely reliant on Social Security.
