While NORA has been following the problems of the Social Security Administration (SSA) closely, we also love to see when these problems are resolved.
With so many issues at the SSA, including multi-day phone delays and even people being incorrectly pronounced dead, it’s nice to know that some seniors are getting their issues addressed.
This is the case for U.S. Army veteran Tracy Blackwell. He said after his Social Security benefits abruptly stopped, he was unable to make ends meet. He believes the termination could’ve stemmed from him making slightly more than expected at a part-time job.
The vet thanks News 12 and Frank Recchia for reporting his predicament. He also thanks Sen. Richard Bluementhal and the Connecticut Legal Veteran’s Clinic for helping him get his benefits restored quickly with no problems.
We also take pride in helping retirees, and our mission is to make fair yearly Cost-of-Living-Adjustments (COLAs) a tradition. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more news like this.
