Millions of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients have recently received a curious error message.
They were informed by the Social Security Administration (SSA) that they were not receiving their payments. This was a shock to the users of the program, who rely on the income to support themselves and their families.
However, this was nothing more than an error. Those who received the message found that their benefits were still deposited as normal.
This isn’t the only error the SSA has experienced as of late. There have been website glitches and outages reported as well, with some downtime lasting a half hour or more. While some claim this is a recent phenomenon, support and technical issues have plagued this organization for decades.
