Major Changes Are Coming to Social Security Disability

Social Security disability benefits help millions of people. And now thanks to some updates, they could help even more people in need.

The first update has to do with the ease applicants have in claiming benefits. As we’ve covered, outdated data had been used to assess an applicant’s ability to work. But now these outdated metrics are being discarded. The result will be a more modernized, seamless application experience.

In addition, legislation is in the works to make it easier for people to work while claiming benefits. This provides a nice opportunity for those who need benefits to some degree, but also want to remain working as well.

What do you think about these changes? Will they help those in need? Will they accommodate those who need full benefits, as well as those who only need partial? Share your thoughts.
