A 59-year-old Massachusetts man was found guilty of Social Security fraud after a three-day trial.
The Belchertown resident was found guilty of theft of public funds, which amounted to just under $50,000 in Social Security disability benefits.
The accused could see a sentence of up to a decade. The man may also be required to face three years of supervised release. He’s also liable for a fine up to $250,000.
