We’re about a month away from the official announcement of the 2025 Social Security Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA), but recent projections suggest the figure could be lower than earlier estimates.

Kiplinger recently reported that the COLA is now expected to be around 2.5 percent. This is a slight drop from the previous forecasts of 2.9 and 2.6 percent. This estimate, based on Bureau of Labor Statistics inflation data, has raised concerns, as falling inflation doesn’t necessarily mean relief from high prices.

Many seniors continue to face financial challenges. Seniors depend on COLAs to offset economic difficulties. And while this is just a forecast, it’s understandable to be concerned. What are your thoughts on this updated prediction? Will it go up again? Will it go down?

Even if seniors feel grateful for any increase, we can still be motivated to get this number up.

We must also never forget that Social Security is not a gift or a handout — it’s something seniors have earned fairly. Share your thoughts on this COLA projection! Also follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more news like this.
