Representative Roger Williams of Texas has recently introduced the Ensuring Telehealth Expansion Act.

The bill, H.R. 341, acts as a response to Covid-19. The Telehealth Expansion Act proposes to provide Medicare recipients and others coverage for telehealth services. That is, medical consultation provided at home via the Internet. In particular, the bill is intended to target elderly and rural persons who cannot easily or safely reach in-person medical services.

This suggests Congress has seniors in mind. That is why no better time has existed to advocate for senior rights. Whether the Telehealth Expansion Act truly helps seniors or not, the Guaranteed 3% COLA for Seniors Act presents the opportunity of a lifetime. Congress must pass this crucial legislation before it’s too late.
